Thanos | Bulldog | Bakersfield, CA | Off Leash K9 Training of Bakersfield

Thanos is a Bulldog and will be joining us for our One Week Board and Train Program. He joins us because he pulls heavily on the leash and needs improvement in overall obedience. Walks with his mom aren’t enjoyable because he’s so strong and pulls her around. In public he gets easily distracted and it can be difficult to get his attention back. Over the next week we will reinforce leash manners and socialize Thanos with the real world.

Training Summary: Today we introduced all 5 commands on leash which are heel, sit, down, come, and place. It’s super hot out so we keep him cool inside and work later in the evenings. He is eating well and settling in just fine. Great first day!

Training Summary: Great work from Thanos today. He got to train around my personal dogs here at home. He is getting the series of come to sit really well. He is pulling less and understanding the concept of heel. On heel he must remain on your left side and perform all commands on your left side. He was doing so great with his extended sit he let me take these cute pics! He can be a bit stubborn with the down command but we’re getting there.

Training Summary: Thanos did well with his place command. He feels super confident and is comfortable when in a sit command. He still tends to be stubborn with his down command. Thanos now goes in and out of his crate! We will continue to work on and improve his down command.

Training Summary: Today was another hot day. Thanos can’t work for too long so we split training session throughout the day. During the day we keep him cool and hydrated. He is improving really well with his heel.

Training Summary: Today was a great day for Thanos! He got to meet my dogs Remy & Gus! He still needs leash guidance with his down command but has improved a lot. He can be a bit stubborn at times but we continue to work through it. It’s important to always follow through with the commands, Thanos needs a calm and confident leader.
