Mila | German Shepherd Mix | Bakersfield, California

Mila is a four month old German Shepherd Mix. She joins our One Week Board and Train Program because she pulls on leash, jumps on people, and gets easily distracted in public. During her stay she will learn basic obedience, learn to properly heel on leash, and socialized to the real world. Stay tuned for her progress!

  • Training Highlight: Today she was around multiple dog distractions. We introduced all five commands which are heel, sit, down, come, and place. When we get to a new environment I give her 10 to 15 minutes to smell and go potty before we embark our next task.

  • Training Highlight: We continue to reinforce all commands. She struggles a lot with her down so we continue to use leash guidance. On heel she stars to do great but will lose you from time to time. She catching on well to the come command.

  • Training Highlight: Lots of distractions today! She is still a bit stubborn with her down command. She heels great in public and is great with sit & down. We will continue to work on the down.
