Stevie | Australian Shepherd | Bakersfield, CA
Welcome to camp Stevie! This pretty girl joins us for our 2 week board & train program. She is a bit timid and will be working on building her confidence while in our program. Her sister will be joining us as well so they will both be learning how to respect eachother and other dogs. Stevie will be working on her impulse control and completing commands regardless if her sister is around or not. Stay tuned for their transformation!

Training highlights: Stevie’s timidness played a big part in her not wanting to be as willing to work on this specific command today. She wanted to vite at the leash anytime she felt too much tension on the leash. When she was finally in the sit command she understood to hold the command.

Training highlights: This pretty girl worked on all commands today. She struggled with being guided by the leash, pressure and continuously chewed on the leash. Stevie loves affection, but only receives a limited amount. Once she has completed the command ask in a calm manner.

Training highlights: Today we had a relaxed training day where we practiced all commands at home. The girls have been getting better at completing commands around the other dogs, but are still working on some confidence building. Stevie can be excitable around her sister, but often takes a while to warm up to the other dogs. once she begins playing she does great!

Training highlights: over the course of a day and continuously, taking the girls out with other dogs. I have noticed such big improvement in their mannerisms and confidence. Play time is super important for teaching dogs to respect the boundaries of others but it also have some fun after a challenging training session.

Training highlights: for the last few days we have been working on place command. This is super important when the pups go back home in order for them to both understand that they will be having a job whenever they are inside of the house and out in public. Mental stimulation has been super important for both of them and their confidence.

These sweet girls have been continuing to complete commands that they once struggled to hold around eachother. I have seen so much progress in their impulse control around eachother and learning when it is play time and when it is training time

Tofays petco trip was so much better than our first attempt! I have seen stevie’s confidence grow and while loud overwhelming strangers can still make her uncomfortable, we need to remember to be her biggest advocate and not allow everyone to touch her and approach her unless we allow it while she is in command and in a calm state
