Dexter | Terrier Mix | Bakersfield CA

Let’s welcome Dexter,

Dexter is a 1-year-old mixed Terrier who joined our 2-Week Board & Train program to work on leash manners, impulse control, and overall behavior.

Dexter tends to lunge and jump while on leash and can become overly excited in stimulating environments. He has also shown some leash reactivity and can be a bit possessive over toys, especially around his brother Roman.

Throughout his program, we are focusing on teaching Dexter how to stay calm, structured, and responsive to commands. He is working on proper leash etiquette, engagement with his handler, and learning to remain neutral around distractions. We’re also addressing his resource guarding to create safer, more respectful interactions at home.

Our goal is to help Dexter become a well-mannered, confident dog both on and off leash.
