Meet Cali, the Labradoodle! She will be joining us for our famous Two Week Board and Train program! She joins us because she struggles with walking on a leash, can be nippy, and needs overall improvement in her obedience. At home she is super playful and loves to cuddle. Cali is super sweet and loves socializing with humans. Over the next two weeks we will create a well balanced foundation of obedience for Cali to enjoy back home with her family!

  • Training Summary: Today we introduced all commands with leash guidance. Cali was around minimal distractions as we trained. She did really well with her sit command. She is very hesitant with the down command. Today going in and out the crate was a bit difficult. Overall she did great for her first day, Great job Cali!

  • Training Summary: Today we trained by the lake. We practiced the come to sit command. This command is great for recall. She is catching onto the movement of the command fairly quick. She is doing great around the other dogs!

  • Training Summary: Cali is getting much better with her heel! At times she will be on my left side doing really well then she loses it. We are trying to teach her that staying at our side is the best thing for her. When she’s on my left side I reward her through affection. The moment she loses me on heel I turn the opposite direction and I guide her to me. She isn’t a fan of going into the crate. Even when she’s tired she can be a bit stubborn going back in the crate for a break. Repetition is key, we will continue to create good habits for Cali!

  • Training Summary: Today we challenged Cali with some dog distractions. She met her new friends Dante & Freddy! She did really well greeting them. She was able to work her place command with them around, this a BIG for Cali! She still needs guidance with her down command. I guide her with downward leash pressure. Great job overall today Cali!

  • Training Summary: Today we trained over at Griffith Park. In nature she seen lots of hikers, squirrels, and other dogs. The down command is beginning to get easier. She challenges me less which allows us to go over more reps of every command. She does great with her sit and heel. I utilize the place command because she is more likely to down on there than the floor itself.

  • Training Summary: Over at the park we continue to reinforce all the commands. We challenged her with many distractions today. She was around the playground with kids, along with other dogs who passed around the park. She’s doing much better with her heel command. Today we got more down reps in!

  • Training Summary: Today we trained over at Balboa Park. Cali was exposed to new noises and lots of kids playing around her. She is improving on her down command. She does great now going in and out of the crate. This week we will expose her to new distractions along with reinforcing all commands.

  • Training Summary: Today was a much better day for Cali! She finally did a down on command!! She is more comfortable and is accepting what is being asked of her. She is challenging me less and is following through with the commands. She did so well she allowed me to take these off leash pics! Great job, lets keep it pushin Cali!

  • Training Summary: Great day of training today. It was really hot so we headed to the beach. On the beach we were able to enjoy the fresh weather and reinforce commands in a new environment! Cali loves to lay in the sand. Later in the evening we were able to practice some off leash heel. She did okay for her first time, but I think with more repetition she’ll gain the confidence to do better! On leash heel she is on your left side close to your knee.

  • Training Summary: Today we trained over at Home Depot. Cali did really well with her commands. She can be nervous going into new environments.

  • Training Summary: Today Cali got to have some dog socialization. Cali got to hang out with all her friends and ran around the yard. I exposed her to dogs I trust so she corresponds positivity with all dogs different sizes. Her heel is really great on leash! Off leash she does well, if she’s in a new environment she could be a bit skittish. Overall she’s improving really well!

  • Training Summary: Training took place over at the Santa Monica Boardwalk! Cali loves the beach environment. She was around so many distractions and even off leash! Great work today Cali!
