Nova | Siberian Husky / Alaskan Malamute Mix | Bakersfield CA
Meet Nova! Our Newest 2-Week Board & Train Student! 🐾
Say hello to Nova, a beautiful 7-month-old Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute mix who just joined our 2-Week Obedience Board & Train Program at Off Leash K9 Training Bakersfield!
Nova is a friendly, playful young pup who enjoys meeting new people. But like many energetic puppies, she sometimes gets a little too excited and loves jumping up to say hello!
Her family wants to build a strong foundation of obedience, improve her manners, and help her become more reliable around distractions.
What We’ll Be Working On
🐾 Advanced Obedience: Strengthening commands like sit, down, place, and stay, even around distractions.
🐾 Reliable Recall: Teaching Nova to come when called, even when something exciting catches her attention.
🐾 Boundary Training: Helping her learn to wait patiently at doors and gates instead of rushing through them.
🐾 Loose-Leash Walking & Heel: Teaching Nova to walk calmly beside her handler without pulling.
🐾 Impulse Control & Manners: Reducing jumping, managing excitement, and encouraging calmer behavior around people.
🐾 Confidence & Focus: Building better communication, engagement, and decision-making through structured training and real-world exposure.
Our Goal for Nova
Over the next two weeks, we’ll focus on helping Nova develop better self-control, stronger obedience, and more confidence while keeping her happy, playful personality.
With consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement, we’re excited to help Nova become a more focused and well-mannered companion!
Welcome to the Off Leash K9 Bakersfield family, Nova! 🐶❤️
