Confidence building was the main focus for today’s training sessions. Samson seems to be getting the hang of completing all of his basic commands. Samson does still struggle to maintain focus while working past distractions such as loud noises, dogs, and nearby moving objects. We are working every day in order to desensitize Samson to such distractions and have no doubt that he will continue to progress throughout his board and train journey.

Training summary: Samson did a great job in public today. While he was interested in sniffing all of the new objects at first, he quickly became aware of his surroundings and got straight back into training mode. Samson worked very well with the figure 8 leash in order to guide him through the store and maintain control while he transitioned to regular leash pressure and ecollar use.

Training Highlights: Samson is doing so amazing with the off leash life ! He got to experience new locations but parking lots and busy areas have been the best for helping him overcome any challenges regarding noises that might spook him. His off leash duration commands are also going very well and his appetite continues to be strong and healthy after a long day of training!
