Rocket | Jack Russell | Bakersfield, CA
Meet Rocket, a lively 9-month-old Jack Russell who’s joining us for a three-week board and train program! While Rocket can be incredibly loving and sweet, he does have some possessive tendencies when it comes to his toys and treats. Potty training is also an area where he needs improvement, so we’ll be focusing on that as well. We’re excited to help Rocket work through these challenges and unlock his full potential!

Rocket’s heel command has improved significantly, and now I can walk with a loose leash, which feels great. While he still has a tendency to run when he hears something that spooks him in public, he’s making noticeable progress. Places like Lowe’s and Home Depot are becoming easier for him to navigate, and I can see that he’s gaining more comfort and confidence in those environments. Overall, it’s encouraging to see how far he’s come!

The down command is becoming easier for him; he still needs a bit of guidance, but once he’s in the down position, he stays there reliably. He absolutely loves the place command, and he consistently walks on my left side. It’s wonderful to see Rocket gaining confidence day by day, and I can really feel our bond strengthening through this training process.
