🐾 Meet Piper – 7 Month Old Lab Mix 🐾
Welcome to our famous 2-Week Board & Train Program at [Off-Leash K9 Training Bakersfield
Piper is a sweet 7-month-old Lab mix with a fun personality and lots of puppy energy! She’s good with people and dogs, but like many young puppies, she still needs help learning structure, manners, and boundaries.
One of the main areas we’ll be focusing on during Piper’s stay is toy resource guarding. Resource guarding happens when a dog becomes possessive over toys, food, or other items and may growl, stiffen up, or try to keep others away. This behavior is very common in young dogs, especially during puppyhood, and the good news is that with proper training, structure, and clear communication, it can absolutely be improved.
During Piper’s 2-week program, we’ll be working on: ✔️ Better manners around the home
✔️ Complete potty training foundations
✔️ Obedience commands such as sit, down, place, heel, and recall
✔️ Learning to peacefully coexist with the older dogs in the home
✔️ Building confidence and impulse control
✔️ Addressing toy resource guarding in a safe and structured way
Our goal is to help Piper learn how to make better choices while also teaching her owners how to properly communicate with her and maintain the training at home. Training is not just about commands — it’s about creating clear leadership, structure, and trust.
We’re excited to help Piper become a calmer, more obedient, and well-mannered companion, and we can’t wait to share her progress through daily pupdates! 🐶🔥
