Let’s welcome, Knox!
Knox joins us for our famous 2 week Board & Train program. He will be learning how to put his energy into completing commands and being an even more awesome pup. He loves to greet by jumping on his owners, so we’ll be working on his obedience and manners too! We can’t wait to help build his confidence in public, clean up his obedience skills and guide him overall! Stay tuned!

  • Training Summary: In a new environment we practiced minimal training but were sure to complete one round of all commands (heel, sit, down, come, place). At the beginning of the session, Knox was really worked up and pulled a lot. As we continued to train, he began to trust me more and allowed me to guide him into the commands.

  • Training Summary: Today I challenged Knox to hold commands in the kitchen since we didn’t have the best weather. He did awesome with his sits and downs but definitely will be working toward helping him hold command for a longer period.

  • Training Summary: Through hard work from Knox, he has been doing great in meeting new pups and new people. At times when knox is uncomfortable he will go into flight mode and want to run to his crate so he is learning to enter and exit all thresholds with calmness.

  • Training Summary: Great work today Knox! he was definitely a bit out of his comfort zone in home depot, and at time was walking without much confidence but I knew he had great potential to be out in public because his heel and obedience overall have improved.

Day by day Knox learns to ignore others and focus on his mental stimulation to ensure he is completing the commands asked. His confidence is being built up every time we go out and working on place has been a great boost of confidence in new environments!

We trained at a local outdoor center today and Knox did great while patiently waiting for food with me. He was getting tons of attention of the kids there and he respectfully stayed on command even when they tried to excite him.

  • Training Summary: Knox was a bit hesitant to hop onto this ladder but after taking the baby steps necessary he realized it was safe and began to have fun! Every Home Depot trip has been an improvement over the last!

Aileen Medina

Aileen has always had a huge love for all animals, especially dogs. She has been working with and assisting training dogs since she was about 14 years old. She has been lucky enough to get mentored from a young age by multiple professional trainers, and is continuing to learn new tips and techniques everyday while working with different breeds of dogs.
