HI everyone meet Jasper! Jasper is a 6 month English Cream Golden Retriever, ready to take on our Two Week Board and Train Program. Jasper has trouble listening in public environments and is difficult to take on walks because he pulls so much on leash. Mom and Dad say he has room for improvements on his basic obedience. He is such a sweet, loving pup and is great around new people! Check daily to see his pawsome transformation!

 

Pupdate 2:

  • Date: October 31st, 2022

  • Training Summary: Today we worked in a low distraction environment. At home he got to meet all three of my dogs. He’s super friendly with them and wants to play. As we continued to train he began to be less interested in them and more engaged in the training. We introduced all five commands which are heel, sit, down, come, and place.

  • Date: November 1st, 2022

  • Training Summary: Today we took our training over to the park. We continued to reinforce all the commands. He struggles with extending his down command. We will continue to improve on that. He’s much better at extending his sit. Jasper can go in and out of the crate now! He eats all of his food and is drinking water regularly. Great work Bud!

  • Date: November 2nd, 2022

  • Training Summary: Over at the park we continued to reinforce all commands. He can be really hyper at the beginning of training. It is important to follow through with all commands. Jasper has really improved in both his duration sit and down. I can walk around him while he remains in a sit/down command. Jasper loves to please and enjoys training!

  • Training Summary: Great improvement on Jasper’s place command! He now goes in and out of the crate and can  perform a proper load up into the crate in the van. He also got to meet my dog Dante. The two have friendly personalities, they can run around all day if they wanted too. After play time I’m able to retrieve him back with the come command. This is teaching him there’s a time and place for certain energies. Great work Jasper!

  • Training Summary: Jasper really loves to please his leash handler. He has improved so much in his duration sit and down commands. He does well with meeting new dogs I feel that are okay with him. Jasper must learn he can’t meet every dog he see’s but he can learn to be mannered well enough to be in the same environment as them.

  • Training Summary: Jasper is such an athletic boy! He loves the place command! The place command is great to use when I’m bringing groceries into my home. He can patiently and gets really excited for the “break” command!

  • Training Summary: Jasper is finally submitting to his down command. It took us a while but he can finally perform a duration down! He’s pretty solid with his duration sit. He is always so happy during training. He has lots of positive energy and really loves to be outdoors. He has really great recall! I can have him run around the yard and the moment I call him, he will make his way to me. Great work Jasper!

  • Training Summary: The rain took us to train indoors today. Jasper and I went to Lowe’s where we encountered lots of human distractions. He was around lots of new noises and smells. Jasper loves the rain! He allowed me to take these cute off leash pics. Good boy Jasper!

  • Training Summary: Another day of rain so we trained over at Home Depot! Jasper really loves to socialize with other humans. Walks are so much more enjoyable, he isn’t pulling and actually listens to commands now.

  • Training Summary: We took training to Hollywood Blvd! Jasper has never been with so much people in one area before. At first he was really worked up but became more calm as we walked through the crowds of people.

  • Training Summary: Jasper can enjoy a walk through Lowe’s both on and off leash! He is such a smart boy and enjoys the outdoors. He’s become so much more indecent with all of his commands. Walks are super enjoyable! He has so many fans when we’re out in public, everyone wants to give Jasper cuddles. Great work mate!
