Cornbread | Pocket Bully | Bakersfield, CA

Let’s welcome Cornbread to our 3-week Rehabilitation Program for aggression and anxiety! Cornbread is a 1-year, 7-month-old Pocket Bully who has spent most of his life on the road with his owners, who are truck drivers. Over time, he has developed severe anxiety and become overly protective. Through structured play and obedience training, we will help Cornbread overcome his aggression and build confidence. Join us as we support him on his journey to recovery!

TRAINING HIGHLIGHTS: Today, we introduced Cornbread to the agility course as part of his training to help with his aggression issues. Agility training is a great way to build his confidence, focus, and impulse control. We’re taking it slow, using positive reinforcement, and keeping sessions short to ensure he stays engaged and comfortable. So far, he’s making progress, and we’re celebrating every small win! 🐾

TRAINING HIGHLIGHTS: Today’s training went well! Cornbread did great with the *duration sit* command and is making progress. He’s still struggling a bit with the *down* command, but he’s getting there. We rewarded him with his favorite treat, fish skin, but since it’s softening his stool, we’ll cut back on it.

We’re also continuing to work on Cornbread’s reactivity to other dogs. It’s a work in progress, but we’re staying patient and consistent. Little steps forward!
