Meet Jesse Medina, Owner & Trainer
Ever since Jesse was young, he had a fascination with all animals, especially dogs. Jesse once rescued a dog near the street he lived on and helped nurse her back to health. From that point forward Jesse has wanted to help dogs in any way.Jesse had an opportunity to expand his knowledge of dog training by attending ABC College where he successfully graduated with honors. During his schooling, a counselor at ABC College became Jesse’ mentor outside of school and helped Jesse become a volunteer at Cesar Milan’s Dog Psychology Center in Santa Clarita, CA. Jesse excelled as a volunteer and was hired full-time in 2013. Jesse taught various classes at DPC, including Socialization 1, 2, and 3, Basic Obedience, Search and Rescue, and Sheep Herding. In addition to working at DPC, Jesse volunteered at Marley’s Mutts Pawsitive Change Prison Program. This progressive and intensive rehabilitation program matches death row dogs with inmates inside California State Prisons. The goal is to reduce inmate recidivism by providing the inmate with a viable skill while at the same time saving the lives of dogs.
