Jesse Medina - Owner & Trainer

Ever since Jesse was young, he had a fascination with all animals, especially dogs. Jesse once rescued a dog near the street he lived on and helped nurse her back to health. From that point forward Jesse has wanted to help dogs in any way.

Jesse had an opportunity to expand his knowledge of dog training by attending ABC College where he successfully graduated with honors. During his schooling, a counselor at ABC College became Jesse’ mentor outside of school and helped Jesse become a volunteer at Cesar Milan’s Dog Psychology Center in Santa Clarita, CA. Jesse excelled as a volunteer and was hired full-time in 2013. Jesse taught various classes at DPC, including Socialization 1, 2, and 3, Basic Obedience, Search and Rescue, and Sheep Herding.

In addition to working at DPC, Jesse volunteered at Marley’s Mutts Pawsitive Change Prison Program. This progressive and intensive rehabilitation program matches death row dogs with inmates inside California State Prisons. The goal is to reduce inmate recidivism by providing the inmate with a viable skill while at the same time saving the lives of dogs.

Aileen Medina - Head Trainer

Hi my name is Aileen Medina!  I have always had a huge love for all animals, especially dogs.  I have been working with and assisting in training dogs since I was about 14 years old.  I have been lucky enough to get mentored from a young age, by multiple professional trainers, and I am continuing to learn new tips and techniques every day while working with different breeds of dogs.

I always found something to do with dogs whether it was training my own dogs, going on pack walks, or working for Dioji Dog Resort for more than a year.  I love getting to meet new dogs and helping them live more enriched lives inside and outside of their homes.

While working with Cesar Milan I volunteered to be a participant in the Millan PACK project.  It was an amazing program where students from local foster homes came to the Dog Psychology Center to help train local shelter pups that were later adopted out.  It was incredibly rewarding helping the students teach the shelter dogs so that both parties would grow and become better global animals.

I have been fortunate to attend training programs hosted by Cesar Milan.  The techniques that I have learned, combined with the training that I’ve received from Nick White, make me the trainer that I am today.

I can’t wait to get to work with you and your pup in the near future!

Anthony Rivera - Trainer

Hi, my name is Anthony Rivera.  Like most dog trainers I grew up having had many pets. I’ve raised and trained a bearded dragon, a Husky, two Pit Bulls, rabbits, fishes, and even birds! As a young child, my parents took me to Sea World where I fell in love with the idea of being able to bond and train with gigantic whales or mammals of any kind.

Growing up in Pacoima, I experienced firsthand what can happen when people don’t want to take the time to properly train their animals.  I saw many breeds, but epically Pit Bulls, get removed from people’s homes because they were perceived as vicious, but in fact, they were misunderstood and mistreated.  I vowed to learn as much as I could so that I could help the neglected breeds.

I’ve always gravitated to being around animals but never knew that I could make a career out of it.  I started, like most trainers, volunteering at a local shelter, getting as much time with the dogs as I could.  I have been for the past year working under the guidance of Jesse Media as my mentor.  Once Jesse felt I was ready, I attended the Off Leash K9 Training seventeen-day immersive training program where I was able to test my knowledge and skills.

My goal is for owners to effectively communicate with their dogs and for dogs to live long well-balanced lives with affection and obedience. At the end of the day, dogs become family but ultimately, they are animals and need to obey their owners to have a more enriched life.
